One of the community’s most important elected roles is that of a School Board member as he or she is charged with making decisions that impact the direction of our public school system. We expect our School Board members to lead with integrity, knowledge, and compassion as they serve as an example of leadership for our community’s most precious resource – our children. Heather Kahoun, District 4 candidate, is deserving of such consideration. She possesses the temperament, skill set, expertise, and moral compass that will serve the best interests of our children. Her classroom experience gives her the necessary perspective to inspire our teachers and support staff. As a small business owner and entrepreneur, she has the drive and determination for success. And as a mother of three children in the public school system, she understands and appreciates the weight of the office to chart the district’s course empowering children to reach their fullest potential. As a member of the 2021 Leadership Osceola program, Heather was an enthusiastic participant in the civic engagement and community learning process. The relationships formed and knowledge gained will only strengthen her ability to lead.
